20 years after production on Richard Williams’ The Thief and the Cobbler shut down, one of the original animators, Andreas Wessel-Therhorn, has contributed new artwork for the entire opening sequence of the film. Meanwhile, video restorationists are working right now to make the VHS, SD and HD elements of the film look as good as we can make them. The Thief and the Cobbler: Recobbled Cut Mark 4 is planned for release sometime in 2012.
